Hello,

I live with my husband, who also works full time in corporate Pharma, my two boys and our lovely dogs in Cambridge, UK. Wherever you are on your adulting and parenting journey, I have been there. Why Coding Needs to Be More Accessible for Kids—Especially Girls

I’ve been in the tech industry for 17+ years in the UK, and one thing has always stood out to me: there aren’t enough women in tech. The ratio of men to women in tech is around 20:1—and in many cases, we don’t even get female applicants.

It’s not because tech isn’t a great career. In fact, software development is one of the best careers for flexibility, remote work, and balancing family life. But somewhere along the way, girls are losing interest or confidence in STEM. Is it because of schooling? Bias? Peer pressure?

I don’t have the perfect answer. But I do know that big, intimidating words stop kids from exploring coding early. And that’s what I want to change.

How I’m Making Coding Easy & Approachable

Coding is just logic, and logic is something we all use daily—whether we realize it or not! That’s why I break coding concepts down into bite-sized, everyday analogies that parents and kids can easily understand. I want to show kids, especially girls, that coding isn’t some complex, scary skill—it’s just another way of thinking.

If we make coding feel fun and familiar from an early age, we can remove the barriers that hold girls back later in school and careers. My goal is to help parents introduce coding at home, without screens or expensive lessons, so more kids grow up feeling confident in tech.

Helping Busy Moms Simplify Life with Visibility & Organization

I’m not just a coder - I’m also a working mom with a full-time career. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

➡️ When everyone in the family can SEE what needs to be done, life runs smoother.

Between school drop-offs, work deadlines, meal planning, and activities, it’s easy to feel like the household manager - even when both parents work full-time. But spending just 30 minutes organizing the week ahead can save hours of stress and last-minute chaos.

That’s why I created magnetic dry-erase, reusable, visible to all family planners—to help other busy moms:
Reduce mental load by making plans visible to everyone
Share responsibilities so the household load isn’t on just one person
Simplify time management so there’s more time for what actually matters

By providing a central place for your family’s plans, you can spend less time worrying about schedules and more time enjoying life together.

These are manufactured right here in the UK, ensuring a very low carbon footprint and supporting local manufacturers. These are a one time investment, our commitment to excellence is reflected in every product we offer, ensuring that you have the best tools to keep your family organized and stress-free. In addition they are stylish enough to complement any home.

Our Story

The journey of  CoderMumsPlanners began with the daily whirlwind that defined our lives. As a full-time working couple living in Cambridge, UK, with two young kids, we constantly felt overwhelmed. With no family nearby to lend a hand, we had to be "ON" 24/7, balancing the endless demands of parenthood, housework, and our careers. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but for us, that village consisted of just two adults doing our best to manage it all.

We were responsible for everything—caring for our kids, maintaining the house, staying on top of all the upkeep, and still striving to progress in our jobs. Amidst the chaos, we found ourselves struggling to keep everything organized. Tasks were scattered across various platforms, written on sticky notes, or worse—stored in one person's head. The lack of a clear, unified system left us constantly scrambling, feeling like we were always one step behind.

Necessity is the mother of all innovations...

Then, out of sheer necessity, we started writing everything down in one place. We created a simple paper planner and stuck it where everyone could see. This small change made a huge difference. Suddenly, we had clear visibility of our week ahead and everyone in the family knew what was happening when. The confusion and last-minute panics diminished, and our home life began to flow more smoothly.

The layout of these planners have been honed over a decade and thoroughly tested with our busy family.
